BACK IN ACTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the past few days this site has been silent. Not because I was out of commission, but due to a new server and the migration of the site from one to the other. It was a royal pain. The \u201cprocess\u201d is complete, and I can access the pertinent information again. The morning news summaries should be coming out soon. Probably not tomorrow since I will be at the mega Breakdown event, this year hosted by Edina.<\/p>\n

For those that are wondering I have been in the middle of the start of volleyball season and undergoing that process. Practices have been off site for the second straight year at the start thanks to ongoing reconstruction. My mornings have been locked in for that.<\/p>\n

Since my master\u2019s classes are finished, I now have time to go out & about for volleyball the past two nights. I have been dialed in on future opponents, primarily those residing in section 4A. Last night I made my first appearance at North Lakes Academy which is located in Forest Lake. The hosts beat Brooklyn Center in four 25-9, 22-25, 25-16, 25-21. Serve & receive, as it often does, determined the outcome of this contest with NLA notching 30 aces to 14 for BC. NLA doubled up in kills too with 33 to 16. In fact, BC had 32 earned points to 63 for NLA. Bailey Kohnen had 11 aces for NLA and led all scorers with 16 points. Not far behind was Jaedyn Thoma with 14 points and also tying for game high honors with nine kills. Topping the scoring for the Centaurs was Nayeli Williams with 12.5 points and eight kills.<\/p>\n

Tonight, it was West Lutheran shutting out host Maranatha 14-18-15. Once again serve & receive ruled the roost. WL racked up 22 aces, nine in the first set. They also won the kill race 26-12. Abby Heinrich (10.5) and Elise Arps (10) reached double digits for WL with a heavy load of aces. Maggie Menges led the way with a game high seven kills. Leading Mustangs was #9 (Maranatha has not put out their roster yet) with six points, all aces.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
