Five are AAAA players, with Kneepkens the only AA. The South Suburban provided 39 points. McKenzie &amp; McGill played at PC (before Hopkins for McGill). The Pirate pair had 28 points. Five made the state at one point in their HS careers. AAAA last year was a rarity where all eight #1s advanced. In the other classes two AAA made the field (#3 seed Stewartville in section 1, #4 seed Totino-Grace in section 5); Three made it in AA (#2 Rochester Lourdes in section 1; Waterville-Elysian-Morristown #4 in 2A South&#8212;meaning an almost 8\/9 seed in a fully seeded section and #2 Crosby-Ironton in section 7). One made it in A (#2 seed Underwood in 6A North).<\/p>\n<p>Or the breakdown of three #2s, one #3; two #4s. Expect head scratchers by Saturday. 1s last year made the state 81.3% of the time. A #1 doesn\u2019t want to be in the 18.7% side of the ledger. #5 seeds and lower will be hard pressed to crack the Williams Arena party.<\/p>\n<p>So far the biggest upset (not an #9 over #8 or #5 over #4) was #6 Pipestone over #3 Windom 65-64 in section 3AA South.<\/p>\n<p>The first ranked v ranked team battle could happen Thursday at SW MN State if New London-Spicer and Minnewaska both win on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>DAY AHEAD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>36 games start the week with 30 of those section games. 1AA &amp; 1A have quarterfinals; 2AA and 2A get underway.
