I have provided the pp100s for each team and the 31 Clubbers. There were a dozen games yesterday with the favorites winning eleven. The exception was the las game of the day at Williams Arena in AA where the #5 Perham Yellowjackets, despite losing two starters with injuries battled back to topple the #4 Rochester Lourdes Eagles.

There were several twists and turns in that game. Perham lost their tallest starter Lauren Gjerde about three minutes into the game with what looked to be an ankle injury. They were trailing at the time 4-3. Then Regan Hemberger got hot. Two straight possessions she knocked down corner 3s. She ended up with six for the night, and all six came in the first half. Their biggest lead came at 22-14 after another Hemberger 3 with seven minutes left in the half. Lourdes finished the half with a 14-7 run to trail 29-28 at the break.

The Eagles took a 41-39 lead at about the 12 minute mark of the second half on a second chance opportunity. That lead grew to 47-42 with about ten minutes to go. Four straight Perham possessions put them back in front 52-49. Two straight 3s gave the lead back to Lourdes 55-52. The 3 ball was huge in this game and Quinn Hanson put Perham back in front with a corner 3 60-59. Maia Anderson stretched that lead to 63-59. Lourdes battled back once again to tie it at 63 with a 3 by eighth grader Amelia Truty. There was about 1:20 left. Perham missed a 3 and then starter Addison Draeger went down with looked to be knee injury with 53.9 seconds left. Lourdes missed from the left block on their next crack with a block provided by Anderson. Ashtyn Kunza made one of two free throws and that would be enough for the win at 64-63 with 27.8 seconds to go. On the next Lourdes possession none of their three leading scorers attempted a shot. It missed and Anderson grabbed the board and converted two free throws for the finish of the scoring. But their was still 4.7 seconds to go. A deep three went awry and Perham advanced to face Providence in the semis. The two have met in the state previously with the Lions getting the win.

Also yesterday was all about knocking off teams I have not charted this year. Off the list yesterday included Willmar, Sauk Centre and Perham. Two to go on Thursday.

Team

PP100

Marshall

112.9

Cretin-Derham Hall

110.5

Duluth Marshall

106.6

Benilde-St. Margaret’s

102.3

Perham

101.5

Stewartville

98.6

Rochester Lourdes

95.5

Hill-Murray

85.5

Willmar

72.0

Totino-Grace

71.0

Rock Ridge

62.4

Sauk Centre

61.3

31 CLUB

There were 11 players in the six games that made the 31 Club.
