Yesterday (I didn\u2019t write right away last night) I was out to chart two <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

games. The window availability dictated which games to see. The theme of the day was directions & \u201cFalls.\u201d You can also add in a dash of Purple. That color ended up 1-1 on the day. Hosts were victorious both times. Two more AAAA teams were ticked off the box leaving three left for the complete set of 64. Only one top 100 teams was checked off the list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MINNEAPOLIS SOUTHWEST\n64, DULUTH EAST 46<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a big city battle it was Twin City host Minneapolis Southwest\nstopping their visitors from the Twin Ports, Duluth East, 64-46. Halfway\nthrough the first half in this contest DE led 24-14. Two things changed the\ncomplexion of this game: fouls to Ava White, the DE center, and the Lakers\nstarted to head up from long distance. Virginia Johnson off the bench connected\na 3 from the right side which started a 24-9 finish to the half. SW made eight\n3s for the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FERGUS FALLS 59, LITTLE\nFALLS 15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once upon a time these 8AAA foes were conference rivals, but\nLittle Falls left for the Granite Ridge a few years back. There was no doubt\nwho was going to win the night cap of the boys\/girls doubleheader. This could\nalso be a preview of a quarterfinal match up. The Otters had a +17 in the\nturnover differential and converted 11\/14 layup opportunities, which was enough\nfor victory. Not everything was ideal for FF however. Senior post Lily Pearson\nleft the game early with an injury. It was unclear to me what type of injury it\nwas, but she was helped to the bench. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
