Teams are losing to teams that are ranked<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>below them. Why? Midwinter blahs? Practice schedule disrupted? Looking past opponents &amp; being complacent? The home stretch is on. Some sections in the lower levels finish their regular season this week.  Pretty soon it is one &amp; done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AAAA<br>\n1. Hopkins (6) <br>\n2. AA: I believe so; A: Jury is out still. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UNBEATENS: 7 is heaven<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cWhen two teams go out to meet&#8212;&#8212;only one returns\u201d to quote the man who\nshot Liberty Valance&#8212;Gene Pitney style. For the second straight week unblemished\nmet. This week it was Eden Valley-Watkins over Menahga in a cross-class-clash. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AAAA: 1 Hopkins <br>\nAAA: none<br>\nAA: 2 Eden Valley-Watkins; Medford<br>\nA: 6 Grand Meadow; Hills-Beaver Creek; Minneota; Stephen-Argyle<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How many will remain unbeaten come March? Section 3A has the most teams left\nwith two (HBC\/Minneota). A has the most contenders with 4.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STREAKING<br>\n<\/strong>AAAA: 21 Hopkins<br>\nAAA: 12 Waseca<br>\nAA: 20 Eden Valley-Watkins <br>\nA: 22 Grand Meadow<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of these four can they be state champs? At this stage last year four of them\nwere. Grand Meadow passed a HUGE test over Goodhue on Friday. They will need to\ndo the same to get out of section 1A in March. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE FLIP SIDE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are teams searching for first wins&#8212;&#8211;a Final 4 remain. Heron\nLake-Okabena\/Fulda departed with a 52-44 win over Edgerton on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AAAA: 1 Rochester Century<br>\nAAA: none<br>\nAA: none<br>\nA: 3 Laporte, Renville County West, St. John\u2019s Prep<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ME &amp; QRF<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I try to see all the 64 AAAA teams + the top 100 teams according to the QRF\npoll. I still need a trio of AAAA teams to complete the list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I need 12 more for 100. It was another shut out day on Thursday this past\nweek. The games in the metro that were played I had previously charted those\nteams. Leaving the list this week were Saturday teams: Sauk Centre, Eden\nValley-Watkins and Austin from Monday. My goal of Hibbing on Thursday was blown\naway, or buried by snow.
