In the second game there was a sequence of five straight turnovers by both teams. Oddly enough both trench players led their respective games in turnovers. Perhaps this was because they were both active and pushing the envelope. But it seemed like the offenses were careening down an icy highway nevertheless. Both winners reached their destination. The rebound battle was split. Both won the field goal % battle.

NORWOOD-YOUNG AMERICA 67, BELLE PLAINE 48

Separation came somewhat early in this game. TCU finished
the half with a 13-4 kick to trail 31-27 at the break. A 3 by TCU’s Keely Oak
gave them a momentary 35-33 lead and it also forced a Jaguar time out. The next
two possessions were travels. Jordan scored three straight possessions with a 3
by Juella Mahto igniting the surge. Soon it was back to a four point margin
(41-37). Another three straight possession score broke TCU and increased the
Jordan lead to 51-41. The capstone was a steal & lay up by Mahto off an
inbounds pass just after Kat Brown-Erdal scored on a drive. That margin was
maintained the rest of the game.
