2 DAYS, 2 THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENTS<\/p>\n

It is time to give thanks for the opportunity to see plenty of basketball. Two days and 14 games filled the leftover table on Friday and Saturday. On Friday it was Hamline, on Saturday it was St. Thomas with their events. Hamline\u2019s Pat Paterson event featured the 30 second shot clock. St. Thomas\u2019 Thanksgiving Tip Off event opened the door to a few public schools for the first time.<\/p>\n

Three teams cracked the century mark on Friday; two on Saturday. The best mark belonged to LaCrosse Aquinas in their slicing and dicing of DeLaSalle with a 135. The Blugolds were assisted in that mark with a sweet sixteen 3s, fourteen of which came in the first half on 67% shooting. Hopkins topped Friday at 129. Both teams meet on January 3 at Hopkins. Conversely seven teams failed to reach 70.<\/p>\n

If you are wondering about the DLS Saturday score, they were playing without Nurjei Weems. Apparently on Friday there was a confrontation with Dowling\u2019s Lexi Boles, and they were both ejected from that game and suspended the following day.<\/p>\n

The best 31 Club, 41 Club, 51 Club<\/span> 61 Club score this year belongs to Caitlin Clark of Dowling Catholic with 66. She racked up 39 points in the win over Holy Angels. She is the only member so far in that exclusive club. There were 14 additions to the 31 Club with nine on Saturday. Sophie Hart punched her 31 Club ticket twice, the only player with more that one entry (that I charted) this weekend. Farmington had three members, the most from any school.<\/p>\n

Pat Bowlin of Winona Cotter reached 600 wins on Saturday.<\/p>\n
