Apple Valley is looking for a head girls basketball coach. \u00a0<\/p>\n

We are in search of a coach that can move our Girl\u2019s Basketball program forward.<\/p>\n

Apple Valley High School invites applications for the position of Head Girl\u2019s Basketball Coach. Apple Valley Athletics’ primary mission is to develop and maintain a top-quality High School athletics program that is committed to providing a positive and fulfilling academic and athletic experience for all student-athletes, with full consideration given to their physical, emotional and social well-being.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Provide leadership for the Apple Valley High School Girl\u2019s Basketball Team.<\/li>\n
  2. Develop relationships with all student-athletes to better develop life skills in all members of the program.<\/li>\n
  3. Organization and implementation of team practices.<\/li>\n
  4. Work cooperatively with Fitness Center Staff to develop strength and conditioning programs for in-season training and out-of-season training.<\/li>\n
  5. Open and appropriate communication with parents.<\/li>\n
  6. Open communication with Athletics Director.<\/li>\n
  7. Student-athlete development and program promotion.<\/li>\n
  8. Instruction of student-athletes in fundamentals and techniques.<\/li>\n
  9. Program support for student-athletes focused on academic progress and commitment to athletic improvement.<\/li>\n
  10. Management of program budget.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Preferred experience as a Head or Assistant High School Coach.<\/li>\n
    2. Desire to support academic success among student athletes<\/li>\n
    3. Proven technical and instructional expertise in Basketball.<\/li>\n
    4. Proven skills in leading team sports including working successfully with student-athletes, parents, and school administration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      1. Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide positive leadership and productive partnerships with parents, the community and Valley Athletic Association.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Proven skills in developing effective and differentiated practice plans.<\/li>\n
        2. Proven successful ability in working with and developing a coaching staff.<\/li>\n
        3. Understanding of adolescent development and an ability to communicate effectively with and support student-athletes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
            \n
          1. Desire to participate in continuing coaching education and hold current coaching licensure or certification.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
