Edina, for the fifth time this year, beat a Minneapolis conference team. This time the victim was Washburn. The Hornets took all the singles, and the odd doubles in the victory. There were three setters at both two spots. The Millers were able to get the third set at second doubles. It was a coincidence that the third set score in each match was 16.<\/p>\n

Edina\u2019s Mia Coma moved to 10-8 on the year with a \u00a0sweep of Penelope Onsrud. Coma emphasized the short serve today and came up with seven aces. 75% of the serves in the second set were of the short variety. Of those 15 serves, 11 eventually came up on winners. Those serve\/receive points also quickened the score. Coma won those fast points 22-9 (.710). Coma was even better in the longer points 12-4 (.750), but fast points accounted for were slightly more than half of the total points of the day (.517). Coma did not permit any run of three today and limited her errors to seven covering all aspects of her game.
