I camped out at court 1 in the air-conditioned comfort of the Kennedy Athletic Center. The theme of the day was All IA Attack. Of the seven games I charted five involved the neighbors from the south. Another theme was MN vs Others—-again with a five count. This was the first real opportunity to chart teams from other states. Four different states were involved. In addition to Iowa I was able to chart a Wisconsin and Nebraska team. The imports from Virginia and the District of Columbia were also on hand.

MN teams ended up 2-3. All IA Attack teams were 3-2.

In the Minnetonka division, of the five MN teams only the two North Tartan teams survived.

AIA attack teams know how to shoot 3s. They can drain catch & shoot. They nailed 15, 8, 8, 6 and 5 3s from their teams.

The Team USA 17U players struggled from the floor today. Paige Bueckers was 40% and didn’t start connecting until late in the game. Ashley Fudd of Fairfax shot 16%. The best they could muster was 70 and 63 pp100 respectively.

Since it is after midnight you are not getting great details. That is the fate when there are seven games, I need to digest and clean the data, and then present it to you.

GAME 1: NOKOMIS

MN SUNS JEFFERSON 56, WI PURPLE ACES 39

MSJ pulled away from the WPA late.

GAME 2: MINNETONKA

NORTH TARTAN 10 NIKE EYBL (STARKS) 60, ALL IA ATTACK 11 NIKE JENSEN 54

A struggle throughout. As measured by the non winning team (by pp100) the best game of the day. NT10 didn’t break out until Nyamer Diew scored six straight points late in the second half.

GAME 3: MILLE LACS

ALL IA ATTACK 9 NIKE JONES 55, MN CROSSFIRE SCHUCK 29

The first centurian team of the day at 110. Made 8 3s.

GAME 4: MILLE LACS

ALL IA ATTACK 9 NIKE 67, MN TOP FLIGHT 2021 39

The best overall pp100 with 117.5.
