North Tartan 9 won championships for the following:
Run for the Roses @ Louisville (14U Showcase division) July 5-8
Nike Nationals Tournament of Champions (Copenhagen Division – 10th grd) @ Chicago July 10-12
North Tartan 9 improved to (31-2) overall with cumulative margin of losses of 5 points to date. Only two games didn’t end with running time (Fury and Thunder). NT9 played in front a minimum 20-30 plus college coaches every single game at both tournaments, including all of the biggest programs with UConn, Oregon & Notre Dame, etc. having a constant presence. Geno personally watched at least half of the games. Gophers, Wisconsin and SDSU very steady attendance at almost every single game at both tournaments. At Louisville championship, NT9 faced 3 time defending national champs West Virginia Thunder. Over last two seasons to date, NT9 cumulative record is (69-4) with the cumulative total of the four losses being seven points.
