MATH & SCIENCE 7, PRAIRIE SEEDS 0
Math & Science, with a restructured line up due to Easter vacations, swept a returning Prairie Seeds on Wednesday. The Lycans have restarted their program after being dormant due to the virus the past two seasons. Despite the restart, PSA does not field a full squad. Today they used six players and fielded first and seconds and singles and doubles. The only player to win a set for PS was Pretti Vang at second singles in the second set. The M&S doubles teams did not allow the hosts to get to double digits in any of their sets.
Originally the plan was to complete the Minneapolis teams, but the North at Edison match was moved to next Friday. That gave the window to start the charter school experience. PS has only one other match schedule so far, a rematch with M&S on the road in May. The expectations are that PS will get a few more contests in between now and May 12.

FIRST SINGLES
Emily NGUYEN 2, Nora XIONG 0
(21-13, 21-7)
Emily Nguyen, usually the Dragons third singles entrant, moved up two notches and swept Nora Xiong. The pair picked up the pace as the match went on with noticeable improvements on the pop on the strokes. Long rallies were a hallmark of this contest with ten points lasting eight strokes or longer. Nguyen won three 12 stroke points in the first set alone—two for winners. Neither took advantage of the smash; there were only two scored. There were plenty of high bird opportunities, but the pace was slower at the start. Nguyen service game improved and cleaned up in the second set from four errors to only one. Nguyen asserted herself more in the second set with her winner count moving from 12 to 15. Nguyen was the only player to get any runs in the match and she also slammed the door in the side out game by getting seven straight side outs in the second set. Nguyen broke free in the first set from a 13-10 score with two runs in her last two services. After two straight runs in set two Nguyen led 13-4.
