BADMINTON 2023 TEAM STATE TOURNAMENT

On Tuesday, May 16 the team portion of the state tournament begins. The top four seeds will host. There will be two first round games followed by the two winning teams playing each other. The four winning teams from each site will continue to Edina on Wednesday, May 17 for the semifinals and championship/third place round.

The state individual tournament will be held at Edina on Thursday, May 18. Action is hoped to start as near as possible at 4 pm. Expectations are the championships should be decided close to 8:30. This is an inexact science—it will depend on length of previous matches and a window of recovery (no player should be forced to play immediately after one match, while their opponent is “fresh”).
