High Five: 11.19.2024

HIGH FIVE

Here are the five highest scorers from Minnesota from the Tuesday, November 19 slate of D1 games:

Callin Hake, Nebraska, Chanhassen 17

Alayna Contreras, Kansas City, Hopkins 12

Nyamer Diew, Colorado, Marshall/Worthington* 4

Tamia Ugass, Kansas City, Roseville 2

Kelly Boyle, UNC Greensboro, Hopkins 0

35 (or 31 points) for the totals of the high five on Tuesday due to a limited amount of Minnesota players in action. You notice the * for Nyamer Diew. Once upon a time she was at Marshall high school, moved to Worthington and finished up at Sioux City East. Should not be on the list…. but the Colorado roster indicates a Marshall “home.” Diew odyssey did not end in high school. She has made stops at Butler and Iowa State before landing in Boulder.

If you have been keeping track Sunday’s top five ended up with 81; Monday dropped to 68 before getting sliced to 31(or 35) on Tuesday.

The top individual for the week has been Gianna Kneepkens of Utah & Duluth Marshall with 24.

BUECKERS SWEEPSTAKES

With Dallas winning the WNBA first pick in the upcoming 2025 draft the odds are quite high that Paige Bueckers (UConn & Hopkins) will be landing there. Players like Arike Ogunbowale were excited by the news.
