UNBEATEN
Last week we had 33 teams without a loss. We cut that in half to a sweet 16 now. Will we be at eight next Sunday? Which class will be the first to have 0? AAA only has one team standing, a likely prospect. AA has the most undefeated left at 6. Can any class have an undefeated champ? Best chances are in A, but unlikely in any class.
AAAA: 4 Alexandria, Minnetonka, Rosemount, Spring Lake Park
Leaving the list Forest Lake and Park Center. Oddly enough I was present at both losses.
AAA: 1 Richfield…oddly enough I was there to see the Spartans rally from 7 down with 38 seconds left to go in double overtime to still stay on the list.
Leaving the list Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Little Falls, Minneapolis Roosevelt
AA: 6 Fairmont; Maranatha; Menahga; New London-Spicer; Plainview-Elgin-Millville; Roseau
Leaving the list Frazee; Norwood-Young America; Pipestone; Wadena-Deer Creek
A: 5 Central MN Christian; Chisholm; Mountain Iron-Buhl; Pine River-Backus; Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s
Eight teams left the list last week. Since A did not have a listing last week, those teams will remain nameless.
STREAKING
We have a new overall leader (or leaders) with eight wins the longest streak alive. With Benilde-St. Margaret’s loss down in Iowa to Waukee Northwest (a suburb of Des Moines) that opened the doors. The top and bottom provide the leaders now with three in the biggest class and two in the smallest.
AAAA: 8 Alexandria; Minnetonka; Rochester Mayo
AAA: 6 Richfield
AA: 7 Caledonia, Fairmont, Proctor
A: 8 Mountain Iron-Buhl; Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s
QUEST FOR
Six teams crossed off the QRF list (up to #75 now) last week included #4 Forest Lake, #11 East Ridge, #23 Richfield, #25, Park Center, #35 Jordan, and #48 Minnehaha.
Biggest fish not seen? #7 Cretin-Derham Hall.

TOP 10S
Added this week: Marshall, yet my AAA totals dropped to .500. My AA dropped to .300.
AAAA: 10/10-1.000
AAA: 5/10-.500
AA: 3/10-.300
A: 5/10-.300
Overall, it is 23/40 .575 which is lower(?) than the week before. I am going backwards.
#1S IN EACH SECTION
Not moving back here. AAAA is now done with East Ridge & Forest Lake completing the set.
AAAA: 8/8-1.000
AAA: 4/8-.500
AA: 2/9-.222
A: 3/10-.300
Grand totals: 19/35-.543. That is up .200. More should be sliced off during the Christmas tournament break.
SEEDING THE STATE
There is usually a killer-diller section in each class. This would be quality & quantity. Some sections might have two powers, but the rest drop off the cliff after that. My choices would be 2 in AAAA; 6 in AAA; 7 in AA; jury is out in A, but my lean might be 6.
No changes at AAAA. Little Falls joins the list at AAA. Milaca in AA. Pine River-Backus in A.
