FRIDLEY 67, ST. AGNES 29
Fridley picked up win number two of the year, the second win in the Drew Reiter era. Last Friday they beat Concordia Roseville in a 75-71 nail-biter. Tonight Fridley was sharp, efficient and did not require any noshing of the nails. Almost every stat category sharply tipped to Fridley side. The Tigers seized advantage a 20 differential in turnovers. Fridley pounced on errant passes all night with 24 steals. Ah’Janay Yancy led Fridley with six steals. Yancy and Cadence Hansen provided most of the firepower for Fridley. Combined the two racked up 38 points. Hansen from long distance (4/5 3s) and Yancy getting to the rim. The Tigers more than doubled the free throw attempts. The Tigers had enough in the bank for the win with 2:12 left in the first half on a Hansen 3. At the break Fridley led 36-12.
The Aggies, now 0-2, were led by Brigid Boyle who had 17 points. St. Agnes only had three players that managed to score tonight.
