There was a narrow range to make the High Five Saturday—two points. Also of note it is the first time Cooper has a duo on the list. Three of the five are AAAA schools (now). This is Mathiowetz’s first time on the list. Lee is the oldest HS grad at 2019; Kamara the youngest at 2024.

QUEST FOR..

THE QRF

The never-ending churn means some weeks my numbers in a category will drop while the overall score down to 50 improves. That happened this last week with my 20s dropping (.800 to .700).

1-10 10/10-1.000

1-20 14/20-.700

1-30 19/30-.633

1-40 27/40-.675

1-50 32/50-.640

Biggest fish left to fry….#13 Austin. I expect the Packers to drop after the loss to Mahtomedi.

TOP 10s

Same is true here with AAA taking a hit from .700 to .600.

AAAA 9/10-.900

AAA 6/10-.600

AA 4/10-.400

A 5/10-.500

Overall that is 24/40 or .600

#1s EACH SECTION

Still a lot of work to be done in this category with AA and A both under .500.

AAAA 8/8—1.000

AAA 4/8-.500

AA 3/9-.333 (section 3AA is split)

A 5/12-.417

Overall, 19/37 or 51.4%.

THE WEEK AHEAD

The busiest day so far this year will take place on Tuesday when 151 games are on deck. Thursday and Friday are both over the century mark. There is a multi-game event on Saturday at Perham for their Crossover Classic.

Providence travels to Minnehaha on Tuesday for a top three battle in AA. It is the first game of a Girl / Boy doubleheader. Start time 5:30. Also this week the Lake Conference starts their epic battles—typically like a state semifinal contest. Another top three battle takes place on Friday at Eden Prairie when Hopkins pays a visit at 7 pm.
