2025 Badminton Poll #4

We were back to a full week of action and three more schools began 2025 play. There are three weeks left of match play followed by City Tournament week and then the State Tournament. It is moving fast. Highlights for the upcoming week include Roosevelt at Camden for the lead in the Minneapolis conference race on Monday. Both are undefeated in Minneapolis.  #3 Harding travels to #1 Edina on Wednesday.

At this point I have charted 21 of the 30 schools or 70%. Odds are high that only two will remain to be seen by next weekend.

RANKINGS

To be ranked a school has had to play a match. Individuals are also ranked with their respective won-loss mark. To get a gage on a potential first round state match up it would work like this (if all teams participated): #1 and #2 would receive byes. Then #3 would face #30. Right now only 29 teams have played…so #3 would receive another bye. #4 would play #29. The numbers need to equal 33 (4+29-33) (5+28=33). The lower number team would host on Monday May 12. So numbers 4 to 16 in this scenario would host. Winners would move to four different sites. More on that as we get closer to May. But at least you can start projecting who and where teams will be playing on Monday, May 12.
