Badminton 2025 Final Individual Poll

Here is the final individual poll. Some of the seeds had to be modified due to the parameters involved in the state tournament….for example no school will face an opponent from the same school until the semifinal round. That complicates some placements to avoid that scenario.

Su Meh of Johnson returns to the top spot in singles with her St. Paul City title in which she defeated Niko Solheid of Como Park in the semifinals who had handed her two previous losses on the year. Meh has also defeated #2 Hazel Dang in her three previous meetings.

The individual tournament will begin on Thursday afternoon at Edina. There is no charge for admission. A player will need to win six contests to be crowned champion. Action should start as close to 4:15 as possible. The estimated championship could begin as early as 8:30 but will probably be closer to 9:10.

The next posting on Sunday will be the match flow chart for Thursday. That will have the match number and the two opponents….for example

Match 1: West 1 vs East 2

It would be wise to have this flow chart available to track your players next match.
