Badminton Out & About: Como Park v Highland Park 4.21.2017

SAINT PAUL

COMO PARK 4, HIGHLAND PARK 3

Sometimes when you are early, you are late. That is what happened to me Friday when I got to CP four minutes ahead of the scheduled start time of 3:15. When I got to the gym they had already completed the first set of the first singles. That means my numbers will not add up. However I do have the results. For the third time this week Como Park took a match 4-3 (Washington, Burnsville were the other two 4-3 victims). Como pieced together their win with a sweep of doubles and third singles. There were two three setters and both were in the singles and both fell to HP. Oddly enough I saw both matches on the same court. Como has a unique gym and it plays into the scores. Look at the third doubles match with the whipsaw scores. The final set in that match was the only one that went to extra points.
